Mirza Mohammed Baig
Mirza Mohammed Baig is a left-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who recently joined Asian Cricket Club Qatar to strengthen both batting depth and bowling support. Born October 5, 1994, Baig has already begun making an impact on the international stage for Qatar in T20Is. Over 19 T20I matches from 2023-2025, he has scored 196 runs with a highest score of 60 not out, at a strike rate over 120, showing capability to build and finish innings under pressure. With the ball, he has taken 12 wickets in 174 balls (17-20 overs) in those matches, including best bowling figures of 3 for 36, and maintaining an impressive average and economy. Recently appointed as captain of the Qatar T20 squad, Baig brings leadership, experience, and all-round capability. In club cricket, he is used in the middle order to stabilize the innings, and as the second-change bowler when the captain needs to rotate the attack or break partnerships. His dual skillset, international performances, and leadership role make him a key asset to Asian Cricket Club Qatar as they aim higher both domestically and in international competition.
